Have you always wanted to learn how achieve sharp edges on your cakes?
Do you struggle to cover your cakes with
sugar paste?
Well then this TWO DAY course is just right for you.
Saturday and Sunday 2nd & 3rd April 2022 (both days have to be attended)

During this two day course you will learn valuable skills and the confidence to achieve the same results on your own at home.

Learn how to divide, fill, ganache your sponge cake to achieve a professional, smooth finish.
You will be shown how to cover your cakes without tearing your sugarpaste or getting crumpled edges at the bottom.
NO dreaded Elephant skin.... just a beautiful smooth cake.

Course Content:

  • How to divide and fill your sponge cake with  buttercream
  • How to make gananche
  • How to apply chocolate to achieve a smooth base.
  • Achieve sharp edges
  • Apply fondant to achieve sharp edges
  • Cover a dummy cake with fondant ( or bring in your own ganache covered 6" cake to cover)
  • decorate your cake with a star bust, A plaque

 

What is included in the workshop:

You do not need to bring anything with you to the class except an apron. Everything else is provided . Disposable Aprons are available if you forget yours.

Tea, Coffee and squash is freely available during the day.  

 

Secure your seat by paying the deposit.  Final payment is due by 5th March 2022

The class will be limited to six places. By booking, you agree with our covid policy in the terms and conditions and at the base of the website.

 

Class Covid Policy - Please read before booking a class.

  • Numbers restricted following guidance and subject to change

  • hand washing and hand sanitiser available

  • Please do a Lateral flow test the day of the class
  • By booking a class you agree that you do not currently display any covid symptoms or had a recent positive test. If you show symptoms, please take a test and do not return to class until it is safe to do so.

  • Windows will remain open

  • The classroom is cleaned and sanitised - chairs, tables, water bottles, sink, bins emptied etc

  • All inclusive classes - all ingredients and equipment is available for you  All tools will be cleaned after the class. 

  • Please provide your own lunch for day class

  • These regulations are subject to change according to guidelines and will be set in place as deemed safe for the size of the room.

 

CLASSES BOOKING AND ATTENDANCE CONDITIONS

 If the course is cancelled you will be refunded for the cost of the class, but not for any travel, hotel or expenses you incur or equipment and ingredients you may have purchased to attend. You will be informed of a newly scheduled date.
